NASAAG unveils Board of Trustees

The National Academy of Students’ Achievement Awards Ghana (NASAAG) has officially unveiled and sworn into office it’s new Board of Trustees to steer the internal and external affairs of the Academy. The Eight members of the Board of Trustees are well endowed with years of experience and have attained distinguished career development experience in their distinct expertise, spanning from academia, social politics and leadership, law, trade, business and entrepreneurship, media, and communication, corporate and technology among others. They are also committed to the development and empowerment of students and youth for the job market and job creation.

The new board includes, Board Chairman Franklin Adjetey, Principal of the British International School Ghana, Founder & CEO, Project Know Thy Self International (PKTS), Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, Founder, Kandifo Institute. Franklin Leonards, President & Group

Chairman Leonards Group of Companies, Emmaline Datey Founder and CEO, ICS Africa Limited. Dominic Oduro-Antwi, President Global Africa Trade Advisory Chamber (GATAC). Godwin Adu-Afful PMP Founder and CEO, PatPrince Manufacturing Company and Project Management Consult. Richard Nunekpeku Founder & Managing Partner, Sustineri Attorneys PRUC, Business and Transactional Lawyer.

Speaking in an interview after the ceremony, the President of NASAAG, Mr. Riffath Yakub Abubakar recoiled the need for the institution of the Board of Trustees to work attentively to aid the Academy achieve its set and targeted goals.

He mentioned that NASAAG is determined to train and prepare students to equip them with the requisite contemporary job market competence to cultivate the culture of entrepreneurship, business and leadership through career guidance and capacity building workshop, summit and conferences which will both in the immediate and long run, reduce or curtail the exponential growth in graduate unemployment and close the deficit gap in entrepreneurship and business in the country.

Mr. Abubakar said, “at the end of every year, NASAAG rewards and honour national students who excel in their fields by inspiring, motivating, and contributing to the community and Ghana’s economic growth through their works, while it tasks the students by empowering them to do more to scale up for greater success.”

He noted that the Trustee Board will serve as the Advisory Body of the Academy’s immediate Board of Directors made up of present students, past student leaders, and the youth. “They will also see to; serve as mentors, guides and trainers to the Executive Board of Directors, serve as an advisory body to the Executive Board in cases of partnerships, sponsorships, procurement among other deals,” he added. Each trustee will serve as a coach or mentor in the area of; career Guidance and Personal Growth, Women Empowerment and Students in Agribusiness, Business support and Investment, Education and Personal Development, Leadership and Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship and Technology, Communication and Public Speaking Skills, Legal practice in business, Branding, and Marketing.

The newly sworn members of the Board after their induction pledged their readiness and support for the Academy to develop and empower students in their chosen field of expertise to prepare them for the job market. The ceremony was also ceased to raise funds to support the Academy’s programmes for the year, particularly in the training of students on its campus tours, summits and conferences.

NASAAG is a not-for-profit educational and social training and awarding academy established to empower, support, and properly position students in their respective chosen fields of expertise; entrepreneurship, and business, leadership, creative arts and entertainment, sports, humanity, and academics, and many more. It ensures this by contributing its quota to the collective national and global development consequently honors and awards exemplary excellence. NASAAG aims to be the best training and credible awarding academy; for promoting and projecting students as the future industry players, leaders in Ghana, and beyond.
