The recent Summer Adventure Trip to the UK was an unforgettable experience for children traveling from Ghana for the first time, filled with excitement and anticipation. Our destination, PGL Windmill Hill in East Sussex, offered a wide range of outdoor activities that engaged and challenged the participants. From archery and fencing to climbing Jacob’s Ladder and tackling the giant swing, every day was packed with adventure. Evenings were equally thrilling, highlighted by a memorable Disco night that left the children buzzing with joy.
To enrich their experience and immerse them in British culture, we organized excursions to vibrant locations such as Eastbourne, London, and Brighton. The children navigated the British transport system, gaining confidence while exploring iconic sites. They visited Buckingham Palace to witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony and enjoyed the sights of Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street, and Chinatown, as well as the lively atmosphere of Trafalgar Square. In Brighton, they marveled at panoramic views of the city aboard the Brighton 360.
After 13 nights filled with adventures, new friendships, and personal growth, the participants returned home with cherished memories and a newfound sense of independence. Each child received a certificate of participation along with souvenirs to commemorate their journey. This trip not only fostered critical and creative thinking but also provided an enriching experience that will last a lifetime.
